I found that youth at the moment of vulnerability can be very moving. Looking up the story of Saint Sebastian, he is cited as an example of "heroism of weakness" who remained poise amidst agony. I kind of feel that such a feeling may have the same psychological root as S&M.
The some moments of the movie are quite laughable (i don't know why the executers exchanged eyesight in such a funny way).
BTW, Saint Sebastian is considered by many gay Catholics as their patron (守护神).
